Ft. Washington, MD — As the Fall Meet is coming to an end at Rosecroft Raceway with four nights remaining, Frank Milby, the defending dash champion, is getting hot at the right time.
Wednesday night (Dec. 4), Milby won six races, running his meet total to 43, and along the way provided trainers John Cabot and Jason Walters with doubles and owners William Cantrell and Joseph Plummer with two wins each on the card.
Milby scored wins with Quik To Fool You ($5.60) for Eli Scott Racing, Casino Cash ($4.80) and Skyway Stella ($5.60) for Cantrell and Cabot, Tanzanite Love ($6.60) and Flash’s Fool ($20.00) for Plummer and Walters. Milby also with his own Get Real Rusty ($3.20).
Eddie Davis Jr. scored with Missus Mia Wallace for owner Gloria Kinnamon and trainer Brian Callahan to run his total to 36 wins on the meet.
Tyler Davis won the best betting race of the night, as six of the nine horses were between 7-2 and 9-1. Davis rallied favorite Hypnotic Key ($8.40) past Dash To Freedom and pacesetter Dancingaroundapole in 1:57.3 for owner Robert Pulley and trainer Sheldon Powell. The exacta returned $42.60 and the trifecta paid a sensational $459.20.
