Sent off as the second choice in the $15,000 Open Trot, the 5-year-old daughter of Mr Cantab was forwardly placed by driver Josh Sutton throughout the mile, which featured matching :57 halves. The Chris Beaver trainee cruised past the finish line in 1:54 to garner her first triumph in 2020 in just her fourth start back after a 10-month layoff.

Workinitonbroadway (Brett Miller) finished second in the featured mile, while long shot Cool Clifford (Tyler Smith) raced admirably to garner third. The winner paid $7.20, the exacta kicked back $41, and a correct 50-cent trifecta was worth $166.

Custom Cantab now sports 19 career victories and earnings of $1,024,943. She is owned by her trainer, Chris Beaver, in partnership with Donald Robinson and RBH Ventures Inc.

Racing resumes at Hollywood Dayton on Friday (Sept. 18) and Saturday nights (Sept. 19) with 6:15 p.m. post times.
