Columbus, MN — The Minnesota Racing Commission has received 2014 live race day requests from Canterbury Park Holding Corporation and Running Aces Harness Park.

Canterbury Park is requesting 69 days of live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing from May 16 to Sept. 13. Each day’s program will include between eight and 15 races. Post times will be 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays; 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and 4 p.m. on July 3.

Running Aces Harness Park is requesting 57 days of Standardbred harness racing from May 24 to August 30. Each day’s program will include between eight and 11 races. Post times will be 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays; 6 p.m. on Sundays and 5 p.m. on August 30.

The Racing Commission is holding a public hearing on these requests on Monday (Nov. 18) at 1:30 p.m. at the University of Minnesota Leatherdale Equine Center, 1801 Dudley Avenue, St. Paul, MN.

The Racing Commission will consider these requests at its November meeting, which begins at 2 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the University of Minnesota Leatherdale Equine Center, 1801 Dudley Avenue, St. Paul, MN.
