Mistery Woman’s 1:51 victory in the Allerage Open Mare Trot and set a world record for 4-year-old trotting mares.

The daughter of Donato Hanover-My Dolly’s Dream-Pine Chip is owned by the Millstream Stable and Aldebaran Park, Inc. of New Jersey and was bred by the Lindy Racing Stable. This victory, the tenth of her career, upped her lifetime earnings to $460,760.

“She’s been racing at Pocono, and had won three straight coming into this race, and been beating the boys and this trip worked out well,” McCarthy said. “She’s getting the job done right. I have a lot of confidence in her. She loves to chase horses and is just a really nice mare. I knew she was going to chase down those horses at the wire and she certainly got the job done.”

Maven (Yannick Gingras) took the lead at start, passing the quarter mile marker in :27.4 and the half-mile pole in :55.1, before being challenged by Bee A Magician (Brian Sears) to the 1:23 three-quarters. When the leaders began to tire, Mistery Woman shook loose for McCarthy and she powered to the lead and to the wire, returning $21.80 on a two-dollar ticket.

Mistery Woman is the fifth foal out of her dam and has half-siblings in: Pretty Lindy Boy (by Cantab Hall) 3, 1:53.3 ($142,335) and to Lindy McDreamy (by Credit Winner) 3, 1:55.2f ($121,932).

In a nail-biting finish, Yagonnakissmeornot bested rivals Shelliscape and Krispy Apple to win the $90,000 Magical Acres Allerage Open Pace for fillies and mares in a career best 1:49.3.

The 5-year-old daughter of The Panderosa-Artstopper-Artsplace was driven by Ron Pierce for owners Allard Racing, Yves Sarrazin and Kalpideo Singh. It was Yangonakissmeornot’s 26thcareer victory and pushed her lifetime bankroll to $759,154.

Anndrovette (Tim Tetrick) took the field to an opening panel of :26.3 until Shebestingin (David Miller) challenged her first over to the :54 half. Those two slugged it out throughout the last turn, as the field bunched around them with Shelliscape (John Campbell) taking command past the 1:21.3 three-quarter. In the final yards, a cavalry charge ensued, with a photo required to separate Yagonnakissmeornot, the 3-2 winner, Shelliscape, at 19-1, the second-place finisher and Krispy Apple (Brett Miller) notching third.

“This filly has been a dream, we put her on Lasix and that made a big difference,” said trainer Rene Allard. “She’s a beautiful, big mare and just does everything right. We supplemented her for $9,500 and I’m grateful for my owners having faith in me to race the filly down here.”

Yagonnakissmeornot is the third foal out of her dam and is a half-sister to Always B Miki (by Always A Virgin) p,3,1:47.4 ($676,866).
