Mohawk video: High praise for Talespinner

Campbellville, ON — The fastest 2-year-old in Canada will headline Thursday night’s (August 5) C$20,000 divisions in the opening leg of the Bridger Trotting Series for 2-year-old trotters at Mohawk Racetrack.

After an impressive win in his first career start, Talespinner will be looking to repeat in Thursday night’s event for trainer Ben Baillargeon.

The rookie son of Conway Hall was a $100,000 yearling from the Peretti Farms consignment. Purchased by Richard Berthiaume, Talespinner will have Mario Baillargeon handling the lines.

With only one career start, Mario Baillargeon was tremendously impressed with Talespinner’s talent.

“I’ve been here 12 years and the last time I saw a horse do that like he (Talespinner) did in his first start was Glidemaster,” Baillargeon told WEG’s media department.

Talespinner will start from post seven in Thursday night’s second division and has been installed as the overwhelming 4-5 choice in the morning line.
