Monticello, NY — During July Monticello Raceway will have two changes from its usual Monday through Thursday racing schedule, both with the permission of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.

The first change comes this Friday (July 8) when the raceway will present a special Friday afternoon race card. Post time will be at the usual 12:50 p.m.

The second change is an added race card on Sunday (July 17).

The July 17 program was added to accommodate the national harness racing promotion known as “Back To The Track,” noted Eric Warner the track’s director of racing. That date was added to coincide with the industry-wide Back To The Track promotion.

On that Sunday some lucky patron will win an all-expense paid trip to the world famous Little Brown Jug in Delaware, Ohio, in late September.

Like all the other afternoon race programs, that Sunday card will commence at 12:50 p.m.
