Monticello, NY — During the month of December there will be several changes in the live racing schedule at Monticello Raceway.

The first card of the month will be on Tuesday, December 1, followed by programs on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3. The following week racing will continue on the Monday thru Thursday race cards of Dec. 7 through Dec. 10.

However, beginning Monday, Dec. 14, the Mighty M will offer 11 consecutive daily race programs through Christmas Eve Day, Thursday, December 24. The added cards during that stretch include the race dates of Friday, Dec. 18, Saturday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 20.

Racing will then continue on Monday, Dec. 28, with four daily programs during the final week of the month concluding on Thursday, Dec. 31.

All post times in December will be 12:25 p.m.

Two special races will be presented during December. On Wednesday, December 16, the Monticello Marathon will again be offered for trotters racing at a 1-3/4 mile distance. Then on New Year’s Eve Day, December 31, the Raceway’s “Au Revoir Race” for 14-year-olds only, will be the final race of their careers.
