Monticello, NY — While the year may have changed, the final results of Monticello Raceway’s 2014 leading trainer–driver winners have not.

Robert Lounsbury once again capped top honors for leading dash winning trainer with 158 wins, holding off Gary Messenger and Dan Gill, who were tied with 143 wins each. Lounsbury’s UTR of .461 ranked him second in the nation for trainers with more than 500 starts.

Bruce Aldrich Jr. took home top honors for leading dash winning driver with 371 wins. He ranked fifth nationally in winners with 615 and also posted $2.6 million in purses. Aldrich also reined 234 winners at Saratoga Raceway where he finished the year in second place for most wins.

It was only fitting that Aldrich won the final race of 2014 and started 2015 where he left off by winning the first two races.
