Monticello Raceway adds dates to live racing schedule

Monticello, NY — With the permission of the New York State Gaming Commission, Monticello Raceway will add Monday (Jan. 20) and Monday (Feb. 17) to its live racing schedule.

“Since we had to cancel a few racing days due to adverse weather conditions we applied for, and were granted, racing programs on Martin Luther King Day in January and on Presidents Day in February,” noted track general manager, Shawn Wiles.

Even though The Mighty M has added a race card on Jan. 20, the day the nation pays homage to the great civil rights leader, the raceway will still present its 14th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Pace, which feature drivers of African American heritage, on Tuesday (Jan. 21) as previously advertised.

And on Presidents Day (Feb. 17) the raceway is currently in the process of securing a field of drivers whose last names are the same as any of our American presidents.
