Monticello, NY — For the second consecutive week, Monticello Raceway has raised purses.

When this week’s condition sheet comes out, horseman will note an additional 10 percent to their purses, on top of last week’s purse increase.

Monticello Raceway Race Secretary Eric Warner noted that “Historically, this has always been the time of year that we raise the purses. The purse were raised 10 percent in February, so in a span of seven weeks, purses have actually been increased 30 percent.”
