Monticello, NY — Monticello Raceway will have a wagering format change for the upcoming 2011 season.
“In 2011 The Mighty M will be changing the minimum wager for the Pick 3 to 50 cents. At present it is a $2 straight bet with $1 part wheels and boxes. The reduction in the minimum wager will hopefully boost the betting pools for the 11 Rolling Pick 3’s that we offer on our 13-race cards,” noted Maureen Flynn, Director of Pari-Mutuels and Simulcasting.”
Monticello will close its 2010 season with a 12-race card on New Year’s Eve Day (Friday, Dec. 31) with post time at the usual 12:25 p.m. The special feature that afternoon will be the fifth Au Revoir for 14-year-olds pacers who will be making the last start of their illustrious careers.
