Northfield, OH — Mr Ds Rock won his fifth consecutive race when he captured the $18,000 Gridiron Series final on Sunday (Nov. 15) at MGM Northfield Park.

The 3-year-old gelding pacer is owned by the partnership of Tammy Carter, Debra Carsey, SCP Stable and Peggy Carter. Brian Loney, his trainer, called upon Chris Page for the winning drive.

Mr Ds Rock (Pet Rock-Cotton Candy) started the race from post three and remained third through the :26.4 opening quarter. Page tipped the gelding first-over coming off the second turn and he remained there through times of :56.3 and 1:24.4. Mr Ds Rock cleared to the lead entering the stretch and bested his competition by a full length, completing the mile in 1:54.1.

Finishing behind the winner were One Last Laugh (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.), Johnny Rockette (Tony Hall), Worthabuck, Two Oclock Johnny, Rockin Daddy O, Townline Flight and Panther Time.

Mr Ds Rock now has 10 wins in 25 starts this year. Sunday’s victory represents his 14th career score and bolstered his bankroll to $206,360. He returned $5.20 to win.
