Munis Blue Chip set a track record with her 1:56.1 score on Thursday.

The Ray Schnittker trainee aired by ten lengths in wire-to-wire fashion and would wind up breaking the track record for a 3-year-old filly trotter behind the 1:56.1 score.

The defending Sire Stakes champion has picked up right where she left off in her championship freshman season and moved her lifetime earnings to over $380,000 after the tenth win of her career in 21 starts. The Credit Winner filly has certainly set herself apart from her rivals as she pursues back-to-back stakes titles.

Jeff Gregory piloted a pair of trotting fillies to stakes wins on Wednesday as Tracy Brainard’s Frosty Flirt and Peter Arrigenna’s Tuesdays With Mom secured convincing wins on the card.

Frosty Flirt (Plesac) proved much the best while running off to a 13 length romp in 1:57.3 while Tuesdays With Mom (Credit Winner) went wire-to-wire for Gregory to stop the timer in 1:58.2.

The only mild upset of the stakes races on Wednesday came when To Lindy’s Credit (Credit Winner) out trotted her rivals in the stretch to register the 1:59.3 victory at odds of 7-2, the fifth win in eight tries in her freshman campaign.

Saratoga will feature New York Sire Stakes action every night this week with 3-year-olds slugging it out the next three nights. First post time each night is set for 7:20 p.m.
