Muscle Dynasty dominates in Bally’s Dover Open Trot

Dover, DE — Muscle Dynasty won gate to wire in the $25,000 Open Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (Jan. 30).

Muscle Dynasty blasted his way to the top, passing the opening quarter in :27.2. Northern Express secured a pocket trip; Global Believer S left and found a seat in fourth. Muscle Dynasty continued on the engine and reached the half in :56.4. Long shot Last Glow moved off the rail and trotted first-over up the backstretch while Global Believer S followed second-over and That Ole Bar Stool was carried third-over. Meanwhile, 4-5 favorite Muscle Dynasty turned on the burners trotting to the three-quarters in 1:24.4.

As Muscle Dynasty continued on the lead into the stretch, That Ole Bar Stool and Global Believer S circled three-wide from the back of the pack. Northern Express took his cue from the pocket and charged late but was unable to make up any ground on the leader. Muscle Dynasty won in hand by 2-1/2 lengths in 1:53.3. Northern Express finished second; That Ole Bar Stool picked up third.

Corey Callahan drove Muscle Dynasty, a son of Muscle Hill who paid $3.60 to win, for owner Frank Chick and trainer Walter Callahan.

Tony Morgan recorded four driving wins on the 15-race card; Art Stafford Jr. notched a driving triple.
