Just Stunning, a filly sired by Muscle Hill and out of Illustre November, by Viking Kronos, fetched the highest price on the first day of the annual Kriterie Sale in Stockholm.

Just Stunning is a half-sister to stakes-winning Heavy Sound 1:54f, he by Ken Warkentin.

Well known Swedish trainer Roger Walmann signed the sales slip; in fact he was rather busy as he bought eight yearlings for a total of $360,000. Five of them were among the ten most expensive at the sale

Walmann has been quite busy on behalf of his owners at European yearling sales this summer. He has bought 26 yearlings at sales in Sweden and Italy for a total price of $1.5 million.

The average price on the first day of the Kriterie Sale was down 10 percent compared to last year at $18,425.
