Muscles Yankee to create original ‘masterpiece’

SRF press release

Hamilton, NJ — Muscles Yankee will soon be a master painter as SRF launches a new fundraiser, the “Harness Horse Masterpiece Collection”. In training to paint like the great Michelangelo, and Matisse, Muscles Yankee will be creating an original on canvas with his own brush strokes. Using his muzzle, tail, and hooves to paint a one of a kind, the first original will be made available through an auction in November. Known as the “Muscles Michelangelo”, a limited number of prints will be reproduced.

“There are so many great stallions and we are excited about this wonderful fundraiser where the horses will be helping the horses. It will be an ongoing fundraiser that SRF so desperately needs to sustain its mission. RocknRoll Hanover is also training with the paintbrush this month for his original “RocknRenoir” as we continue going down the list from stallion to stallion,” explained Paula Campbell.

The idea came from Ellen Manzi, wife of Hall of Famer Cat Manzi who teamed up with Lella Montgomery from Swedish Horse Power. “This is a great project for SRF,” said Montogomery, and it is so rewarding to work with these stallions to benefit the Foundation.”
