Museum’s Roosevelt Raceway Legacy Project is down to the wire

from the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame

Goshen, NY — We are coming down to the wire on the Roosevelt Raceway Legacy Project which is scheduled to officially open July 6 at the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame in Goshen, N.Y.

The RRLP staff has cataloged almost 11,000 items, the majority of which are photographs, but also include many iconic artifacts. These wonderful images and stories document racing hosted by Roosevelt’s “Dream Track” during the years of operation from August 1, 1957 through June 15, 1988 and celebrate its grandeur.

We want to give you the opportunity to be listed with those who have contributed to the Roosevelt Raceway Legacy Project. If you want to be listed, please call Paul Wilder at the Museum (845.294.6330) with your name and credit card information by April 15. You may also fax your name and credit card information to 845.294.3463; please do not e-mail your credit card number. If you prefer to send a check, please contact Paul. For a minimum donation of $50, we will gladly add your name to the list of donors if received by the April 15 deadline.

Join us in July for Hall of Fame weekend and let the glorious memories flood back when you visit the Roosevelt exhibit.

To preview some of the images and get a feel for what is to come, go to www.youtube.com and search for Roosevelt Raceway Legacy Project; the direct link to a nice Museum montage of Roosevelt photographs set to a jaunty version of New York, New York is available here.

We would love to include you in our race to the wire and hope to see you in July.
