Mystical Peter briefly seized the lead from post six for Ridge Warren but found himself shuffled to third past the quarter. When Joey pulled the pocket into the final turn in pursuit of the leader, Warrawee Whisper, that opened the Lightning Lane for Mystical Peter. The 7-year-old Uncle Peter-Love Me Two Times gelding rolled through to down Warrawee Whisper by a neck, with Joey third.

Todd Keith owns and trains Mystical Peter, who lifted his lifetime bankroll to $266,418.

Mike Wilder collected four wins and Jeremy Indof three on the 12-race card.

Live racing at The Meadows continues Thursday when the 12-race program features a carryover of $727.52 in the Early Pentafecta (race 4). First post is 12:45 p.m.
