Campbellville, ON — This past Saturday at Mohawk, last year’s champion Captaintreacherous scored an eye-catching victory in 1:48.4 to take his Pepsi North America Cup elimination.

The son of 2008 Cup winner Somebeachsomewhere banked $918,253 last year with victories in the Metro Pace, Woodrow Wilson and Nassagaweya Stakes, before being named the 2-year-old pacing colt of the year on both sides of the border.

The youngster has crafted a 10-1-1 record from 12 career starts for trainer Tony Alagna and owners Captaintreacherous Racing.

The $250,000 purchase will look to give driver Tim Tetrick his first Pepsi North America Cup victory on Saturday.
