This year, like in season’s past, monies were raised from the two-track trotting series where races were contested in both the spring and fall at Yonkers and Monticello raceways.

“Drivers in both NAADA series need to thank Joe D’Amato at Monticello Raceway and Tim Rooney and Bob Galterio at Yonkers Raceway for providing us the opportunity to race at their tracks for the enjoyment and opportunity to raise money for this important effort by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help find a cure for this dreaded disease,” noted Joe Faraldo, president of NAADA.

The two-track trotting series consisted of five legs and a final in the both the spring and fall seasons and they have become annual events at both Monticello and Yonkers raceways.

“And of course we’d be remiss not to thank the amateur drivers who not only participated in those races but were good enough to donate their percentages to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation,” Faraldo added.

On Thursday night (Nov. 17), the check presentation was made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in the winner’s circle at Yonkers Raceway.
