Nash stretches lead in Grand Circuit Handicapping Challenge

In a weekend with six wagering events in the 2013 HANA Harness Grand Circuit Handicapping Challenge, sponsored by The Hambletonian Society, Chicago Racing, IHHA, Meadowlands, Tioga Downs, and Vernon Downs, Rusty Nash managed to stretch his lead over the other handicappers thanks to his net profit of $39.05 for the week.

Of the ten handicappers, only Nash and Gordon Waterstone of the Horseman and Fair World managed to show gains this week. While the overall profits this week were small, there were some good individual plays this week.

Garnet Barnsdale managed to earn $108.50 on the second division of the Golden Girls thanks to a $5 exacta box while picking up $52 on a $5 exacta wager on the TVG FFA Pace. Rusty Nash continued his success with a $15 win, place wager on the first division of the Golden Girls ($67.50) in addition to a $9 win, place wager on the Lismore ($58.95). But the big play of the week goes to Gordon Waterstone who picked up a $166.50 payoff on the second division of the Somebeachsomewhere at Mohawk thanks to a $15 win, place wager.

Key Hits: Gordon Waterstone had a $15 WP ticket on race winner Sunshine Beach in the second division of the Somebeachsomewhere, grossing $166.50. Garnet Barnsdale grossed $108.50 on a $5 exacta box in the second division of the Golden Girls using Rocklamation and Krispy Apple.
