Scarborough, ME — Steve Nason held the hot hand on Sunday (March 31) at Scarborough Downs, engineering three winning strategies to top all drivers during the matinee performance.

Driver Steve Nason won three at Scarborough Downs on Sunday; one aboard Four Starz Skate.

Included in his tally were Map Of Hawaii (2:03), Four Starz Skate (1:59) and Miss Annalise (1:58.4).

His three wins on the program earned him second place in the drivers’ standings after the inaugural weekend of racing at The Downs, trumped only by Gary Mosher’s meet-leading four wins.

In other news, track record holder IPO Blue Chip scored the win in Sunday’s $5,500 Free For All event with Shawn Thayer calling the shots for trainer Randy Bickmore.

Live racing resumes Friday and Saturday (4 p.m. post), with the Sunday matinee at 1:05 p.m.
