East Rutherford, NJ — A broken head pole from the half-mile on did not faze Nathan Feelsgood as he held off I’m Feelin Good to win their $12,500 Junior Trendsetter division on Thursday night (Feb. 3) at Meadowlands Racetrack.

Nathan Feelsgood was a 1:54 winner in Junior Trendsetter Series action.

Driver Tim Tetrick masterfully kept Nathan Feelsgood on task through the stretch battle and he gamely dug in to best his foe by a half-length in 1:54. Given the slight nod over the runner-up in the wagering, Nathan Feelsgood paid $4.00. Gotta Love Him saved all the ground to finish third.

Nathan Feelsgood, trained by Rob Harmon, posted his second win in eight career starts. Patricia and Gerald Mulder of Lansing, Mich., bred and own the 3-year-old son of Mr Feelgood-Black Chana.

Prohibitive favorite Joe Palz and longshot Mojo Terror took the remaining Junior Trendsetter splits.

One of three winners on the card for driver Yannick Gingras, Joe Palz turned in a gutsy first over effort to win his division in 1:53. The son of Blissfull Hall-Ante Fay is now two for two this season for trainer Chris Choate and owner Anthony Ruggiere of Mamaroneck, N.Y.

Mojo Terror outsprinted War Cloud to the wire to upset the final Junior Trendsetter division at 18-1. John Campbell steered the son of Western Terror-Winning Mojo to his second win in three starts this season. The Michael Hall trainee is owned by Bulletproof Enterprises of Boca Raton, Fla.

Ron Burke trainees Some Girls Do and Hello Camie swept the first leg of the Tender Loving Care Series for fillies on the card.

Despite drifting out in the stretch, Some Girls Do was a decisive winner in 1:55.1 with Brian Sears in the sulky. Hello Camie tracked down the leader Sagebrush Susie to take her split in 1:54.3 with Yannick Gingras in the sulky.
