Nathan “Nate” Sholar, 81, dies

Columbus, OH — Nathan “Nate” Sholar, 81, of Mayfield, Ky., died at his home on Feb. 26, 2011, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Sholar was active in harness racing in Kentucky and was the first Kentucky Hall of Fame inductee.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired from World Tower, a business he operated for several years.

Mr. Sholar is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Jeff; daughters, Angie and Amy; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
