Columbus, OH — Neil Draper, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, passed peacefully on Dec. 22, 2019, at the age of 58.

Draper was born Sept. 2, 1961 in Salisbury, Md. He loved his family, friends and the Eastern Shore lifestyle that he lived. One of Neil’s true passions was horses and the harness racing industry. There were many nights he spent with family and friends down to the track at Harrington and Ocean Downs. It didn’t matter if the weather was mild, cold or downright sloppy! Just the atmosphere and the thrill of the race were enough for Neil.

He was a lifetime member and treasurer of Horse Lovers United Inc., a nonprofit group. With good friends Lorraine, Ronnie and David, Draper helped Standardbred race horses find good and loving homes to ride out their retirement years.
