New England Chapter of USHWA approves first logo

by Bob Lieberman

The New England Chapter of the United States Harness Writers Assoc. has approved and adopted the first logo that the chapter has ever had in the almost fifty years that the organization has been in existence.

Chapter member William Ellis had been working on an idea and finally put it down on paper and showed it to the chapter committee. It was unanimously approved.

The logo incorporates the six New England States along with the face of a harness horse with a head number attached. The USHWA logo is also included in the design.

The comment from President Jack Ginnetti was ” this chapter was formed in 1961 and the logo incorporates the six states along with an enlarged horse`s head moving forward. This is what the chapter`s intentions have always been and will continue to be in New England. He congratulated Bill on his efforts for creating a logo that truly represents the feelings and attitudes of this chapter.”

The logo will now be included in any of the New England Chapter`s mailings or brochures that are sent out.
