New flavors on Pink buffet at Meadowlands

East Rutherford, NJ — Harness racing fans can enjoy a new Pink buffet and cocktail menu this Friday (Oct. 18) and Saturday (Oct. 19) at The Meadowlands.

The Friday buffet is $29.95 and features harvest minestrone soup, hand-carved turkey breast, veal bolognese with ravioli, and a “Taste of Asia” station with egg rolls, wantons, dumplings and fried rice.

The Saturday buffet is packed with flavor, starting with turkey and pumpkin chili complete with cornbread and all the fixings. Middle Eastern-spiced pork loin with lemon and mint yogurt sauce, blackened salmon with pineapple, Brussels sprouts with Vermont maple syrup, and chimichurri flank steak round out this $39.95 menu.

“Our executive chef, Dennis Sammarone, has done a terrific job,” said Jason Settlemoir, COO and GM of Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment. “We asked him to bring some new flavors to our Pink buffet and he has delivered.”

The new Pink cocktail and wine menus provide a wide selection of libations that not only complement but also enhance the dining experience. Mules, margaritas, refreshing mojitos and well-rounded bourbon cocktails are just a few drinks guests will find on the new cocktail menu.

The Friday buffet themed stations continue each week:

• Oct. 25: Touch of Greek — hummus, pita chips, stuffed grape leaves and spanakopita
• Nov. 1: Comfort Food— mini meatloaves, rich mashed potatoes and green bean casserole
• Nov. 8: Havana Nights — traditional Cuban sandwiches with ham, roast pork, pickles and cheese, rice and beans, and plantains
• Nov. 15: Polish Festa — pierogis, sauerkraut and kielbasa
• Nov. 22: All American — sliders, grilled hot dogs and fries
• Nov. 29: Make Your Own Mac & Cheese — top with your choice of bacon, scallions, chicken, tomatoes and ham
