New Jersey well represented with 43 Breeders Crown finalists

Manalapan, NJ — New Jersey’s breeding program will be well represented in Saturday’s $6 million Breeders Crown at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs with 43 finalists among the 105 starters in 12 divisions.

Leading the way are 10 sons and daughters of pacing stallion Rocknroll Hanover and eight by trotting sire Muscles Yankee.

New Jersey’s four representatives in the first Crown event for trotting mares are three daughters of Windsong’s Legacy — Windsong Soprano, Yursa Hanover and Southwind Wasabi — along with Jersey AS by Muscles Yankee. The purse is $250,000.

Another four are in the $600,000 Open Trot: Hot Shot Blue Chip by Revenue, Neighsay Hanover by Muscles Yankee, Enough Talk by Enjoy Lavec and Lanson by Self Possessed.

Six are in the $600,000 Breeders Crown for 2-year-old trotting fillies: Sweet Love and Seducedbychocolate, both by Chocolatier, Angelette Hanover by Yankee Glide and three daughters of Muscles Yankee — Lady Rainbow, Fitness Girl and Hey Mister.

Hambletonian winner Muscle Massive and Flex The Muscle are two sons of Muscles Yankee in the $500,000 3-year-old colt trot where six of nine are New Jersey-sired. The others are Temple Of Doom by Yankee Glide, Break The Bank K by Revenue, Lucky Chucky by Windsong’s Legacy and Take My Picture by Classic Photo.

Among the 2-year-old fillies vying for $600,000 are Honky Tonk Woman by Western Ideal, and Rocklamation and Myluvmylife, both by Rocknroll Hanover.

The 2-year-old trotting colts include Leader Of The Gang by Muscles Yankee and Manofmanymissions by Yankee Glide. Five 2-year-old pacing colts in the field include three by Rocknroll Hanover — Foreclosure N, Line Officer and Lookinforadventure — along with Shadyshark Hanover by Cam’s Card Shark and Big Jim by Western Ideal. Both events carry $600,000 purses.

Ultimate Cameron by Yankee Glide and Bramalea Hanover by Windsong’s Legacy represent the Garden State stallions in the $500,000 event for 3-year-old trotting fillies.

Showherthemoney, who is by Cam’s Card Shark out of Stienam’s Place, is in the $300,000 Mares Pace while her half sister, Put On A Show by Rocknroll Hanover is one of four New Jersey-sired entrants in the $500,000 3-year-old filly pace along with Cannae Cammie by Cam’s Card Shark, Rock N Soul by Rocknroll Hanover and Naughtytiltheend by Western Ideal.

Shark Gesture by Cam’s Card Shark has the rail in the $500,000 Open Pace.

Five of the nine finalists in the $500,000 Breeders Crown 3-year-old colt pace are featured with two by Artsplace — Shoobee’s Place and Art N Charm — and three by Rocknroll Hanover — Little Brown Jug winner Rock N Roll Heaven, BG’s Folly and Rockin Image.
