New names surface in bid for Massachusetts gaming license

Columbus, OH — Tuesday was the deadline for companies to pay $400,000 and submit pre-qualifying applications for a Massachusetts gaming license. Four groups filed their applications on the final day, joining seven others that had already been received by Monday.

According to BloodHorse.com, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission will now hire multiple investigation teams to conduct in-depth background checks of the applicants and it will investigate the financial qualifications and perform other due diligence required.
