Lebanon, OH — A renewed tradition of harness racing in Lebanon, Ohio, comes to life at Miami Valley Gaming as the lighting fast track’s third season rapidly approaches.

All signs point towards a successful four-month, 86-program meet. Live racing goes postward five days a week beginning Jan. 9 through May 8 with a new twist for 2016. Afternoon matinees will be presented every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with first race post at 2:05 p.m. Traditional Friday and Saturday evening cards will begin at 6:05 p.m.

An abundance of quality horses, drivers and trainers will complete, with a 30 percent purse increase fueling the track’s meet. A deep and talented driver’s colony is expected to compete throughout the winter season at Miami Valley, with all the top drivers from last season expected to return as well as several newcomers.

New wagering opportunities await including the addition of rolling daily doubles on races one through seven, a 50-cent Lucky Pick-5 (with an industry low 12 percent takeout) beginning on race eight and a 10-cent Buckeye Hi-5 on the 12th. The latter two new wagers have carryover provisions until a winning ticket is sold which potentially creates rewarding jackpot pools which attract new interests. The Lucky Pick-5 cascades into Pick-4 and Pick-3 opportunities as well.
