Saratoga Springs, NY — There were tri-features on the Thursday (Sept. 27) card at Saratoga Casino Hotel for New York sired trotters and each of the three divisions went for a purse of $10,000.

Time Is Fleeting scored in a new lifetime mark of 1:58.1.

Time Is Fleeting (Lucky Chucky) was the fastest of the three winners and also paid the biggest price among the trio of features. Jimmy Devaux piloted Time Is Fleeting for trainer Dave Dewhurst and worked hard early in the mile to secure a pocket trip for the 3-year-old who spent much of his summer competing in the Excelsior B division of the New York Sire Stakes. Time Is Fleeting surged in the passing lane as the race’s favorite began to tire on the lead in the stretch and came on to win in 1:58.1, a new lifetime mark.

Dismissed at odds of 7-1, Time Is Fleeting gave Dewhurst and Devaux their second winner on the matinee card as they teamed up earlier in the day for a victory with trotter Good Luck Ginny.

The other features on the program were won by driver Frank Coppola Jr. who piloted Weekend Wit Bigd and Northeaster to front-running scores on Thursday. Both trotters stopped the timer in 1:59.3.

Live racing continues on Friday evening at Saratoga with a first post time set for 6:45 p.m.
