Entering the event a perfect four-for-four this season, the Erv Miller-trained 2-year-old was tabbed the heavy favorite. Starting from post five, Peter Wrenn eased away from the gate sixth with the Panspacificflight-Society Brat colt, sitting sixth through a :27.2 first panel before catching cover behind Jammin Joshua and Sam Widger racing to a :57.2 opening half.
