NHHC Qualifier set for Saturday

East Rutherford — Cash prizes and seats in the National Harness Handicapping Championship are up for grabs at Meadowlands Racetrack’s next handicapping tournament on Saturday night.

The prize pool is estimated at $24,000* with payouts to the Top 10. Plus, players keep their bankrolls. The total contest fee is $400 ($200 entry fee/$200 bankroll). Contestants must bet exactly 10 Meadowlands races, with a $20 minimum, $100 maximum per race. Wagers must be win, place or combination WP, and on one horse per race.

Meadowlands is the place to be Presidents’ Day

A special holiday matinee of racing will kick off at 1:10 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 21.

After the races, fans are encouraged to head over to Redd’s Restaurant in nearby Carlstadt, NJ for a very special fundraiser to benefit the Standardbred Retirement Foundation. The stars of harness racing will serve up the drinks behind the bar. Plus, there will be karaoke, a wings cook-off, raffles, bar games and celebrity guests from the NFL and NHL!
