Nikki’s Game is an upset winner at Harrington

Harrington, DE — Joann Looney-King’s Nikki’s Game ($56.60, Jim King, Jr.) was an upset winner in the $22,000 Junior Open Trot on Wednesday (May 14) at Harrington Raceway in 1:57.4.

Nikki’s Game lit up the tote board in the Junior Open Trot.

The 6-year-old Donerail mare and driver/trainer King were sent hard for the lead from their rail post position, where they would set fractions of :29.1, :58.2 and 1:27.3. She held off a late challenge from Broke As Usual A for a one length triumph. It was her third win of the year.

Driver Ross Wolfenden had a driving triple. Tony Morgan, Roger Plante and George Dennis each won two races on the program.
