No live racing Tuesday at Hippodrome 3R

from the Quebec Jockey Club

Trois-Rivieres, QC — Due to an insufficient number of horses entered, management at the Hippodrome 3R has cancelled the live harness racing card for Tuesday (June 19).

The race program will be made up on Sunday (Nov. 25).

Coming up this Sunday (June 24) is the inaugural Ben Hur Cup featuring two of Quebec’s top drivers in head-to-head competition. The champion is none other than two-time O’Brien Award winner Sylvain Filion. The challenger is Canada’s leading dash and money winning driver this year, Louis-Phillipe Roy.

After Wednesday’s draw, each driver will take turns selecting a horse to drive in the eight-race competition.

There will also be a special meet and greet with both world-class drivers in the grandstand at the Hippodrome 3R beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Post time on Sunday is 12:50 p.m. For more information, visit www.quebecjockeyclub.com.
