Trois-Rivieres, PQ — After making a costly break at the start of his last race and finishing up the track, Nobodynosjustice and driver Stephane Brosseau made amends to race fans Tuesday evening (July 25) at the Hippodrome 3R.

Nobodynosjustice and driver Stephane Brosseau made amends to race fans Tuesday evening.

Competing in the second round of the C$220,00 Future Stars Series for 2-year-old trotting colts and fillies, Nobodynosjustice was sent off as the overwhelming favorite in the fifth race division for colts, but it was a tough mile until the stretch drive.

It was last week’s return winner, Y A Muscle Mass and trainer/driver Rosaire Renaud, who shot right out to the early lead with Yankee Photo (Pascal Berube) following right behind them in second place and Nobodynosjustic in third place.

By the opening quarter, Brosseau then sent Nobodynosjustic to the outside, but they could not pass by Y A Muscle Mass, who parked the race favorite around the second turn, and kept them parked out past the half-mile and around the third turn.

But Brosseau was patient with his colt and once in the backstretch was able to not only collar Y A Muscle Mass, but pass him to take the lead after the three-quarter marker. From there they were able to pull away towards the finish, winning by 2-1/2 lengths in 2:05.3. Y A Muscle Mass was second with Yankee Photo third.

Sired by Justice Hall, Nobodynosjustic is trained by Dany Fontaine and was bred and is owned by Gaetan Bono Stable of Montreal, paying $3.30 to win.

There were two non-wagering filly divisions held with the fastest of the two winners going to the undefeated Precieuse CC and trainer/driver Claude Beausoleil, who led from start to finish, holding off a late charge by the pocket-sitting Magic Lady (Yves Filion) to win by a neck in 2:04.1. Kinnder Prediction (Justin Filion) was third. Now two-for-two in her brief career, Precieuse CC is a daughter of Angus Hall, owned by Marie Andree Cournoyer.

The other filly division saw Lucky’s Dream (Jerome Lombart) cut the mile with Papillon Bleu (Pierre Luc Roy) sitting right on his back until the backstretch when Roy pulled the pocket and took the lead away before the final turn as Stand For Justice (Stephane Brosseau) came first-over to challenge. Then in the stretch drive, Papillon Bleu was able to hold the challengers at bay, winning by one length in 2:06.1. Stand For Justice was second with Lucky’s Dream third. Sired by Muscle Mass, it was the maiden victory for Papillon Beau, who is trained by Maxime Velaye for the Provoquante Stable, who bred and owns the filly.

The ninth race Invitational Trot saw a classic finish as even money favorite Unabating and driver Guy Gagnon were parked out three-wide at the three-quarters as Four Starz Speed (Kevin Maguire) led the field with Ghiradelli Lindy (Richard Simard) hanging game first-over. Around the final turn and starting down the stretch, Gagnon and Unabating ($4.00) were able to wear down Four Starz Speed to win by a neck in 1:59.1. Dance Hall George (Mario Charron) had broken stride at the start, was in the last place, and rebounded to not only catch the field, but finish third.

This was the last Tuesday night card until Aug. 22. There will be a special Wednesday night live program on Aug. 16 when H3R will host the fourth leg of the World Driving Championship.
