Nominal Hanover narrowly wins in NJSS final

Manalapan, NJ — Nominal Hanover rallied for a narrow victory in the $25,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes–Green Acres final for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Thursday afternoon (Oct. 18) at Freehold Raceway.

Nominal Hanover scored a narrow victory in Thursday’s $25,000 NJSS-Green Acres final for 2-year-old pacing fillies at Freehold.

The Western Ideal-Numeric Hanover filly, driven by Daniel Dube and trained by Abe Stoltzfus, was a nose winner over Ashlee’s Card (Cam’s Card Shark). It was 1-1/4 lengths to the pacesetter, Isle Of Shoals (Rocknroll Hanover), in third. Betting favorite Light Of Day (Rocknroll Hanover) was 4-1/4 lengths back in fourth.

Nominal Hanover paced the mile in 1:59.1, picking up her third win along with one second and two thirds from 10 starts. The filly has banked $27,400 for Ernest Hartman of Toledo, Ohio.
