Norma Rei headlines Saturday evening card at Bluegrass Downs

by Mike Wandishin, publicity director, Bluegrass Downs

Paducah, KY — Norma Rei, a 7-year-old daughter of Cheyenne Rei, goes for her third win of the meet on Saturday evening (June 2) at Bluegrass Downs, starting from post four.

George Anthrop trains and owns this one with Steven Noffke. Mickey Pryor will drive. Norma Rei has won on the front end and via the closing route and her versatility gives her a key edge in the field.

It won’t be easy though as Bo Knows To Win (Keisean Wilson), winner in his last start, has post five here and will be a major danger late in the mile. One Stop Deal (Randy Crisler) has the rail, Weekly Special (Geremy Bobbitt) has post two and Highland Hellion (Jamaal Denson) has post three and completes a talented field of older performers.

First post is 6 p.m. (CDT) for the six-race card.
