Northfield, OH —- Northfield’s Pick 5 has a $9,778.26 carryover for Friday, Dec. 18.

The Pick 5 is held on races 3-7 and is a $1 wager. This is one of the largest carryovers of the year.

A carryover occurs when no bettor correctly picks all five winners in the Pick 5. In that case, 75 percent of the money wagered (after takeout) is held for the next race night’s Pick 5, while 25 percent of the net wagered is distributed as a consolation pool.
