Northville, MI — The 2016 live harness racing season at Northville Downs will kick off on Friday (March 18) with a new post time of 7 p.m (EDT).

For the first time ever, live racing will continue throughout the summer with live racing every Friday and Saturday night, concluding on Saturday (Oct. 8). Twelve races will be planned each racing night, with purses expected to be approximately $45,000 per night.

Our promo center will be back in full swing with many opening weekend games and giveaways including merchandise and wagering vouchers. Drawings are free to enter and you must be present to win.

Each Friday at the track will be Fan Appreciation Night. On track fans will enjoy $1 hot dogs, $1 soft drinks, $1 live race wagering, $1 live programs, and $2 draft beer.

Both Friday and Saturday night we will feature our fabulous clubhouse dinner buffet. The all-you-can-eat buffet is $19.95 and features a variety of delicious dining selections.

Put your handicapping skills to the test each Saturday night as we debut our new free to enter Survivor Saturday contest. It will feature a top prize of a $100 betting voucher. Simply pick one horse in each of the contest races. If your horse finishes in the top three, you advance to the next race. If your horse is out of the money, you are eliminated. Northville Downs is committed to providing our patrons with the best wagering opportunities. We offer 10-cent superfectas on all of our races as well as 50-cent trifecta plays and a $1 minimum on all Daily Double, Pick-3s, and Win, Place, and Show wagers.

The Big Horse Handicapper as well as the Barn Goat’s longshot will be back handicapping our races nightly. A complimentary tip sheet will be available in every live racing program as well as on our website. In addition, live audio, video, and video replays are also available on our website.
