Nuclear Breeze coasts to seventh straight

East Rutherford, NJ — Nuclear Breeze ($2.80, $2.40, $2.10) coasted to a 3-1/4 length victory, his seventh in a row, in the tenth race on Saturday night (Dec. 30) at the Meadowlands.

It was the 4-year-old’s fifth straight victory in the $35,000 winners over class at the Meadowlands.

Pacific Renegade ($9.20, $2.10) got up for second, and it was 4-1/4 lengths to Hop Sing ($2.10) in third.

Nuclear Breeze, trained by Maryland-based Roger Hans, paced the mile in 1:50.1. It was one of a quartet of winners on the night for driver Brian Sears (through the 12th of 14 races).

Owned by his breeder, Thomas Cooke of Rockville, Maryland, Nuclear Breeze now has 11 wins and two thirds in 16 starts this year and a career bankroll of $242,132.
