Champion trotter Nuncio driven by Ôrjan Kihlström took another win Saturday afternoon (Aug. 27) in the Sundsvall Open Trot at Bergsaker in northern Sweden.

This was win number eight from 10 races this year and Saturday’s victory was worth $117,500. Nuncio has earned $800,000 in 2016.

In the Sundsvall Open Trot Nuncio had to race from post position one and managed to take the lead. From there, Kihlström controlled the race and Nuncio won the 1-5/16 mile event in 1.55.2f (mile rate). Second was On Track Piraten driven by Jos Verbeeck, who enjoyed a pocket trip, while a fast finishing D D’s Hitman driven by Jorma Kontio finished third.

At the annual Derby sale in Denmark a filly sired by Credit Winner was sold for $27,000, which was the highest price at the sale. She is out of the Muscles Yankee mare, Too Hot For Me.
