NY-bred owners reminded to submit new owner information

from the Agriculture & NYS Horse Breeding Development Fund

Albany, NY — The New York Sire Stakes administrators remind all new owners of New York-bred Standardbreds to submit to the Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund the “Owner and Name Change” form. This form is used by the Fund to ensure its records are up to date for all New York Sire Stakes-eligible horses.

If you have recently purchased a NY-bred yearling or if you have changed the name of your NYSS-eligible horse, you must complete the form and submit it to the Fund for your horse to remain or be eligible to the New York Sire Stakes racing program.

The NYSS “Owner and Name Change” form is available on the New York Sire Stakes Web site, www.nysirestakes.com. To download the form, go to the “forms and downloads page,” located on the left-hand side of the homepage, and click on the “Owner and Name Change” PDF.

Forms should be mailed or faxed to the Agriculture & New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund at your earliest convenience. Mail to: 90 State Street, Albany, NY 12207 or fax to: (518) 426-1490.

Should you have any questions about the form or eligibility requirements for the New York Sire Stakes, please contact the Fund at (518) 436-8713 (regular business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) or e-mail info@nysirestakes.com.
