NYS Racing and Wagering Board announces new Communications Director

Schenectady, NY — New York State Racing and Wagering Board Chairman John D. Sabini today announced that Lee R. Park will serve as Director of Communications for the Board.

Mr. Park most recently served as a Senior Press Officer to Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, where he was part of the team responsible for the overall messaging and media relations of the Executive Chamber. During the first six months of Governor Cuomo’s administration, he helped execute communication initiatives and coordinate announcements across New York. Prior to that, Mr. Park served as Press Officer for then Attorney General Cuomo.

He began his career in New York state government as an Editor for the New York State Assembly’s Communication and Information Services. Prior to that, Mr. Park worked as an Internal Marketing Communications Specialist for Nextel Corporation and as a journalist at the Poughkeepsie Journal and USAE News.

He has a B.A. in Communications from Marist College and resides in Saratoga Springs.

“Lee brings to the Racing and Wagering Board a wealth of knowledge of New York State and a proven ability to deliver results that will benefit all racing fans and patrons of the Board’s services,” Chairman Sabini said. “I am excited to work with him to spread the word about the great work we do on behalf of the people of New York State.”
