Oaks, Peter Haughton and Jim Doherty Memorial details

East Rutherford, NJ — The Meadowlands is drawing for several major stakes Tuesday morning to be raced the upcoming weekend of July 27 and 28.

The Hambletonian Oaks box held 17 fillies entered for the stake. Eliminations will be on Saturday (July 28) and the top 10 will move on to the $500,000 final on Hambletonian Day, Aug. 4.

The Peter Haughton Memorial 2-year-old colt trot had 10 declarations and will not require eliminations. The 10 horses will go to the $422,350 final on Hambletonian Day, Aug. 4.

The Jim Doherty drew 19 fillies and will have a pair of eliminations on Friday (July 27). The final is also on Hambletonian Day and the purse will be $357,450.
