Odds-on Liberty Rose repeats in Meadows distaff; Wrenn wins four

Washington, PA — Hammered down to 4-5, Liberty Rose N lived up to expectations, capturing her second straight win in Thursday’s (June 22) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,500 distaff claiming handicap.

Liberty Rose N needed the entire :27 opening panel to reach the point for Aaron Merriman, but she was on cruise control thereafter. The 9-year-old daughter of Mach Three-Lyse Doucet held off the pocket-sitting Priceless Shadow by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:53.1, with Hired Luck third.
