OHHA seeks Summer marketing intern

Columbus, OH — The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association is a non-profit organization serving Standardbred horse owners, breeders, trainers, drivers and fans who participate in the sport of harness racing in the Buckeye State.

The OHHA is seeking an intern to assist and represent OHHA with marketing activities at county fairs, youth camps, driving school and other outreach programs.

The intern will assist in writing pre- and post-event press releases and help manage the social media initiatives of OHHA. The candidate will also assist when needed as support for the office staff and will work under the direction of the Communications Director and Project Coordinator.

The candidate for this position should have experience in Microsoft Office and the ability to handle e-mail. A high level of proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and the use of proper English are required. Proficiency must be sufficient to create content for, and assist in the publication of, industry publications and press releases.

This position will run from June 1 to Aug. 31. Travel is required and the candidate must have reliable transportation, mileage will be paid. This is a paid internship and actual hours will vary, but will approximate at 40 per week.
