Ohio Select Sale online catalog available

Circleville, OH — An online PDF sale catalog for the upcoming annual Ohio Selected Jug Sale is now available on the Ohio Harness Horse Breeders website.

The link, which will access the full sale catalog, can be downloaded for quick viewing.

The sale is set for Friday (Sept. 16) at the Pickaway Agriculture and Event Center, Circleville, Ohio, with the first horse in the ring at 10 a.m.

In addition, the annual preview Show Day will be held on Thursday (Sept. 15) with food and drink served from 4-6 p.m.

This year’s sale will feature 277 yearlings featuring 42 by Downbytheseaside, 34 by Fear The Dragon, 33 by What The Hill, 33 by Long Tom, 19 by Enterprise and more. In addition there are a host of horses from the first crops of Lather Up (21), Dancin Yankee (13) and Volstead (7).

Ohio Breeders president Randy Haines noted, “There is definitely something for everyone at the Ohio Selected Jug Sale. We have brothers and sisters to some of the top performers in the Buckeye State, as well as a host of individuals by all the popular and some first crop sires.”

For decades, the Ohio Select Sale has been the first stop for owners and trainers to acquire top state-bred harness racing performers. This year will be no exception as the Ohio Select Sale has sold several million dollar earners and world champions, hundreds of Ohio Sire Stakes winners and dozens of Super Night Champions.

Current standouts include, but are not limited to: world champion Sea Silk p,3,1:50.2f ($704,456), Kentucky Futurity Filly champion Katie’s Lucky Day 4,1:50-‘22 ($544,156), world champion Herculisa 3,1:52f ($565,120), Heart Of Chewbacca p,3,1:48.4f ($409,690), world champion Elver Hanover p,2,1:48.3 ($769,446), and world champion It’s Academic 3,1:50.3 ($962,046).
