Ohio Sires Stakes rescheduled

from the Ohio Standardbred Development Fund

Columbus, OH — The second leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes 2-year-old colt pace and trot that was postponed this past Saturday when heavy rains forced the cancellation of the races at Scioto Downs, will be rescheduled for this Saturday, August 21.

“The Ohio Standardbred Development Fund Committee members asked General Manager and Racing Secretary Stacy Cahill to add the four OSS races to the August 21 card, which includes OSS 3-year-old colts, and she graciously agreed,” said Doug Thomas, Administrator of the OSDF.

According to Thomas, everything will stay the same for the 2-year-olds. The post positions will stay the same and any horse that was eligible at time of entry will still be allowed to race. There is no need to enter your horse again. If there are any questions, you can contact Thomas at 614.288.1829.
