Wingate, NC — Chris Coyle, owner of Olive Branch Farm in Wingate, N.C., announced today that all foals born this year and owned by the farm will be freeze branded.

“Both from the perspective of managing our young horses’ care and ensuring they have their identity for all of their lives, under any circumstances, this was a logical decision. I really think everyone should be doing this again; without the brand it is too difficult to ensure that every horse is identified properly, especially by unskilled employees. I can speak from personal experience,” said Coyle.

“It is heartening to see other breeders and other farm managers taking this position and we’re proud to join them in standing for the brand.”
